About the webinar

In this webinar, we demonstrate how to move from offline programming to stable production with a connected digital workflow.
You will see how FASTSUITE Edition 2 provides the foundation for preparing the workpiece and production setup, creating and connecting cutting operations, and simulating and optimizing the process before it reaches the machine.
We then move to the shop floor, where FASTCUBE Shopfloor Assistant provides operators with a visual 3D context for understanding the NC program and identifying production-side deviations.
The webinar demonstrates two practical correction scenarios: a local contour deviation handled with Pivot Teach, and selected NC points with a collision risk handled using Access Teach. In both cases, the proposed correction is previewed in 3D before it is accepted.
The result is a workflow designed to reduce unnecessary correction loops, support controlled local adaptation and help production reach a stable process faster.

What you will learn

A well-prepared offline program does not always mean a stable production process.

Even when the CAD data is correct, the process has been simulated and the program has been optimized, production reality can still introduce deviations. A part may be positioned slightly differently, a fixture may create a positional variation, or material behavior may differ from the original digital model.

The result is often the same: the machine stops, production contacts engineering, the program is corrected, and the process is tested again.

In this webinar, we show how FASTSUITE Edition 2 and FASTCUBE Shopfloor Assistant work together to reduce these correction loops and create a faster path from offline preparation to stable production.

The webinar follows the complete workflow from establishing a reliable digital process foundation and creating the cutting process, through simulation and optimization, to controlled local corrections directly on the shop floor.

Highlights:

  • Reliable digital process foundation: Prepare the workpiece, setup and calibration in FASTSUITE Edition 2 before process generation.
  • Efficient process creation: Generate cutting operations and connect them into a structured, continuous process before machine time is used.
  • Simulation and optimization: Review, collision-check and optimize the cutting process digitally to reduce machine-side trial and error.
  • 3D-based shop floor understanding: Connect the NC program with the complete 3D production context so operators can identify affected areas before making changes.
  • Controlled local corrections: Use Pivot Teach and Access Teach to address different types of production deviations directly on the shop floor.
  • Preview before acceptance: Review proposed corrections visually in 3D before applying them to the NC program.
  • Digital continuity: Keep offline preparation and shop floor adaptation connected instead of turning local corrections into isolated workarounds.
